I don't keep up with this cult-like following, but talents that succeeded the iconic Ed McMahon following should pursue a record label rather than to try to appease Simon on American Idol. Therein lies the problem: Creativity and talent are thrown out of the intellectual capacity; and sing and perform with a so-called "entertainment" ideology supercedes. I have said it many times before: the Earth, Wind and Fire of the 70's; the U2 of the 80's and the Lenny Kravitz' of the 90's are the true musical elite. Check your brain at the door for another wannabe "hit and miss" professional musician otherwise. It's like comparing Mariah Carey to "fill in the blank" on week 12 of A.I. The corporate masters are dictating the future of our talent, bottom line. No wonder we are falling in the Grand Scheme of Things, worldwide. Average Americans will pull the weight. Always have been; always will. Which way we pull is another story... We, as Americans, are losing our imagination vs technology. Have you ever heard of "Mein Kampf?" Redux 1926. Fezz should be listed as #1 at the Hilton site which list him #2. They're not taking into account his two ties which equals 1 point. That would put him at 48 points vs, 47 for the 2nd place person.
