Fezzik NFL Preseason Week 0 and Week 1 Plays

273 Vikings +4 2 weight. One fine bet here vs. the 49ers.
242 Az/SAINTS UN 37.5 1 weight. Worth a bet, due to the less than perfect weather. 3 point line move up through the key number. Gotta fade it. 281 Dal/Oak OV 34 2 weight (if you missed the 34 (still everywhere in Vegas), play OV 34.5 .5 weight.
Andy Reid's son found dead today. I see more betting on the Steelers right now. I think Reid will be coaching this week to what I read. How high does this go on the Steelers? What seems true is the betting has been tepid since this news was out this morning but only recently has the move gathered momentum. I can't even pretend to know what to make of it. Is this game an obvious Pittsburgh win? Or Philadelphia win? I mean I can't see Pittsburgh wanting to pound Andy Reid's Eagles in a meaningless pre season game. In fact if you could ever just let a team win this would be it. Is Philly the sharp side of this bet and if so what price? Or is Pittsburgh still the sharp side?
Most of the athletes are fighting for a job and are more likely to care about that, because they know what happens if they don't make the team. It's important to consider every angle in every game. But I think in this case there won't be an effect on the action that occurs on the field.

For sure. But the premise of the play has nothing to do with the players. It is a situation where the coaches do determine the results of these games. That is why we're betting Pittsburgh to begin with correct? This has nothing to do with the players at all or who is better. Philadelphia may be better and probably better at home. That may gave us a line of Philly -3 or more. But even the 2.5 is building in either Pitt is better than Philly or that the Pitt philosophy in pre season is more likely to produce a better performance. Personally, I think +3 on Pittsburgh was needed for a really good bet a few days ago. I do think +2.5 sucked alot of air out of the angle on Tomlin. But we get a release here, some overbetting and we get to PK. Reid's son's death and the emotional letdown that will lead to for Philly has us at -2 for Pittsburgh. Perhaps it was getting there anyway. If it was maybe this gets to Philly +3. I would argue that whatever the advantage Tomlin had it has changed. I truly believe his philosophy will change. I'm sure he would put the brakes on earlier, not try as hard to win a game later, etc. Now if Philly does have an emotional letdown it won't matter as they will more likely get killed. I'd almost argue there is no value on Pittsburgh at all here unless you really believe Reid loses these games willingly, Tomlin badly wants to win these games and Pittsburgh has a large emotional edge. I think Philly will be a great bet +3. I think they are a solid teaser play at less than+3 and just my own personal opinion Philly by 2.5 sounded right in ths game to begin with. The angle on Pittsburgh has been great here and there is a lot of pin action so it is a great bet +2.5 but it seems somewhat overdone.
259 GB SD OV 37 1 weight. Now or never.
256 EAGLES +2, 1 weight. Unfornate situation all around re: Andy Reid's sons death, but OBV. this likely could have a number of effects here, but it likely favors Philly. Bettors pounded Pit, NOT due ot the Reid death, but because Pit at + was the obv. right side. Now, Philly +2 worth a bet beck IMO.........
Late to the party, but a fine winner. 277 Ten/Sea OVER 35. Charlie J is on this, and I REALLY like the angle of Locker and Hasselback, BOTH returning to their home here, you have to feel in a QB battle, AND a homecoming this is a game where 2 decent QBS will bring their B games. Meanwhile, Sea has lots of WR talent to evaluate, and their own QB Battle. FURTHER, the SAT night game always seems to be higher scoring (SNF, MNF also).
256 Eagles +1 1 more unit. +1 in Vegas, Pk fine also. It's clear to me that the Reid death is a plus for Philly here at home. Unfortunate all the way around. WE dump what was a great bet on Pit, and shoot for the middle here, as Pit will close the dog now (Would have closed Pit -2.5 withoud Reid death IMO).
