Florida Atlantic WTF?

Florida Atlantic WTF? Down 30-14 with 2:56 left in game. 4th and goal Florida Atlantic at the 6 yard line. They call time out... And kick a FG? Did I just see this with my own 2 eyes? Announcer simply baffled: "Congrats Florida Atlantic you are now down 30-17"... Epic
classic.............
Then to top it off no onside kick. Only convoluted logic I can think is that Schellenberger sending some kind of message to his team? makes absolutely no sense.
I thought I had pounded to many beers and was seeing things.
Even if he was convinced he was going to lose the game. Kick the field goal for practice? Then wouldn't you onside kick for the practice? Wouldn't you go for it on 4th down for the practice? Maybe he had money on the under in the second half like we all did...

Seems like an automatic fade next game. Enough of the players should realize that going for it made more sense. Causes them to question the coach's logic etc. Keep an eye out for quotes from the players. I hope the press asks them about this. It will be very telling.
