Football Notes---Some obvious plays

Football Notes---Some obvious plays I think last night's game with Arizona and St. Louis we had the obvious winner with St. Louis and I'm hoping the rest of the weekend plays out like that. Although the Tennessee play which Fez 5 weighted hasn't driven down much---if at all---I'm hoping this is the right side of this game and I'm with him on it. From my trusty Toronto Sun 35 page sports section I also know that Randall--their chief handicapper is on the Titans with a best bet. (Randall now 8-4-1 on his best bets this year and 33-28-2 all games). Randall also on the Chiefs as a best bet and I kind of like this one too. I know the Ravens are rested but with b to b at home I'm thinking the Chiefs might rally this weekend perhaps catch the Ravens a little flat. If that under 10 RSW bet is going to hold at the juice it got to on the Ravens I sort of figure they have to lose a game like this. Fezzik has the Jets and they seem to be an obvious pick for Monday night not a heavy weighted best bet but I can't imagine too many sharps on Houston here. Are there any sharp bettors NOT on the Colts? Browns? Seahawks? Dolphins? Even Jags? Want a favourite? How about NO (it is Randall's 3rd best bet) and got to figure they're going to whip someone and maybe get a better defensive performance in the same game. It is one of these doomsday Sunday's that looks so laughably easy to win at this just a few games like the Steelers, Falcons, 49ers where I think there would be debate as to who is the sharp side. Only game not mentioned here is Broncos and have to figure they're the sharp side if you have +7. Over in the CFL a curious move IMO on Edmonton tonight to beat Hamilton. Line started at PK and has elevated to -2. Edmonton has lost 5 in a row and got thumped by Hamilton a few weeks ago in Hamilton. It is a big revenge spot for them. Long losing streak and revenge but still in the playoff chase I do understand how they would get some support. However, Edmonton is missing Sherritt the top tackler in the CFL for tonight's game and they are starting Kerry Joseph at QB. He is 39 now and not the worst back up I guess but it doesn't seem to inspire a tonne of confidence for me. Reed the coach has declared himself the OC as well demoting Crandell I think. Perhaps the change will inspire them. From Hamilton's perspective they've been wildly inconsistent this year but off a victory vs. Montreal LW (but a loss to Wpg before that) with a clear pattern of playing better at home I can even understand betting against Hamilton as the move. But I think Hamilton might just be a better team and as the line zooms through the 2 it hit even +3-115 at one spot which I played on Hamilton I just think it is too big a move. I noticed Winnipeg opened +14 over Montreal. Anywhere I read it is the obvious expectation for Montreal---after losing to Hamilton---to blow out Winnipeg. One thing I know is in the CFL big dogs do well. 14 is about as big a number as I'm going to see all year. Elliott will be the QB. He does stink but I don't think he stinks as bad as this line (but he might). I know one game he was atrocious and he couldn't score against the Argos LW when he was in but I think he had a few good drives FWIW. It is Thanksgiving for gosh sake the whole fan base is out west for the league Winnipeg better show up and make it a game. It is not a play but I will make a courtesy bet on Winnipeg because I like the numbers on big dogs in the CFL and it is Thanksgiving.
As usually the case this wasn't as easy as hoped for. But I think this was ahead. The Titans were a total misfire. The market never embraced it so it became a play just on an opinion and got blasted. However, the Chiefs were basically the same thing. In fact the board tells us BW was on the Ravens at -4 so you get one back with an opinion. I'm really surprised the Chiefs weren't a play for this board at 6 or 6.5 as Joel reminded with the Ace of Clubs strategy in another note. The Dolphins were just an obvious winner. Not really at all because it is the Bengals but the Dolphins continue to stop the run and the QB play of Tannehill has been good. A couple of close games already just figured they could stay motivated enough on the road to make another close game here. This time they get the win. I was actually hoping they would lose by a FG as I had +4 on them but they were just too good. The Seahawks does anyone disagree an obvious winner? Line crashes from nearly 3 to almost a PK at Matchbook. I don't know why it was obvious but it was. The Colts---an obvious winner. Well, they did take a half to get going but they were in a good situation off the bye, at home, motivated by the issue with Pagano and I guess now 2-2 they may not actually have a bad team. GB has obviously been struggling. Line goes down from 7 or more earlier in the week to 6.5 and it is another winner. The Jags? Well, seemed obvious but the market helped here. It moved this line up from 4 to 7 in some spots in Nevada over the week. It seems like it was obvious to be on the Bears. If you still had to be on the Jags you could take your chance with a 7. You know what else is obvious? That Gabbert might not really be ready to be an NFL QB. The Browns were obvious but turned out obviously wrong. I think this is a loser where it was obvious but you lose. Up 14-0 another team that allows itself to get completely gashed on the running game until the Giants had plenty to cover. The Browns got the Bengals this week and I already noticed the +3 disappeared on them quickly as sharps anticipate the Browns able to really make a go of it this upcoming week for their 1st win. And the Saints did pull it out but not without some doubting. The D did make some plays near the end to increase and preserve the lead. Nobody on them except for Randall who also made them his survivor pick. Just a bonus pick for reading the Toronto Sun. Good job!
Good thoughts, here. I'll look forward to checking them out going forward.
