FYI: Take Florida -11/ Chaos with UC Football! Im taking Florida -11 before this line squirts up by game time. The Word at the Univeristy of Cincinnati campus, is this Bearcat football program is in complete chaos and disorganized with the defection of head coach Brian Kelly to Notre Dame. Right now, UC has only practiced ONE time in preparation for this huge bowl game. Certainly, the coaching staff is in flux with the announcement of Central Michigan Butch Jones, as the new head football coach at UC. Im told that some key UC offensive players (Pike) is terribly frustrated by what's happening with the football program at this point of the season. UC has sold out its full allotment of 18000 and have bought more tickets for this game ( more than Florida) but they will be rooting for a UC team will probably not be ready to play such a veteran SEC Florida squad. Most UC players still have no idea of whats going on and who knows whats going to happen once they make the trip to New Orleans? Huge matchup issues as well, as this huge Gator offensive line should dominate this "soft" and undersized UC defensive front. Throw in Florida's overall team speed and the last collegiate game by Tim Tebow, this one has blowout writen all over it. Take the Gators now, before the line moves. *** FLORIDA -11 ***
Be careful Everything you say about Cincy is true, but I'd be careful about hanging my hat on a team that... 1. Has as many as 10 juniors who have applied for NFL draft evaluation. 2. Those kids and a bunch of seniors have a bunch of agents in their ears telling them to make sure they don't get hurt, that this meaningless game is nothing to let get in the way of their combine preparation. And while it seems sleazy on the surface they're absolutely right. 3. Had much higher aspirations than this, remember how flat Bama was last year in a similar situation in the Sugar Bowl? Remember how flat Florida was in their bowl game against a 4-loss Michigan team the year after their previous national championship under Meyer? 4. Had a wide receiver coach shock his players by bolting to LSU and has a defensive coordinator now as the head coach at Louisville but is still coaching in this game, which usually doesn't work out so well. And Charlie Strong has got to have a defensive staffer or two that he'll be taking with him, doesn't he? 5. Is running full page ads in the local paper so they don't take too big a hit on unsold tickets for this game. 6. Has a player (Ahmad Black) whodr father is publicly criticizing Urban Meyer for mis-using his son and says that those kind of feelings are widespread amongh the players. All you say about Cincy is correct. But this Gator club just doesn't fit the profile of a team that should be laying double digits in a bowl game, and big faves in bowl games aren't exactly a positive subset to begin with.
Points well taken. Florida traditionally has juniors leave for the NFL. I must agree with you on DC and Gators coaching situation. So, both teams will have coaching staff issues for the game. But, I believe the bottom line is talent will win out at the end of the day.
Dogs of 8 or more are on a 45-18 run. This game looks very much like the Alabama bowl game of last year.

Florida had 1 player leave last year, 1 player leave the year before, 4 players the previous year, and 2 players the year before that. The year that 4 players left they came up flat against Michigan. Players considering leaving early are more distracted than NFL draftable seniors, as seniors tend to bond with their classmates and want to go out on a strong note. Underclassmen going back and forth deciding if they should go are a distraction to themselves and their teammates in anything but (maybe) the championship game. The number of kids seriously considering leaving Gainesville may be unprecedented. If Meyer can get a focused effort of this team I'd be impressed. They're lucky they're playing a team with some major distractions themselves.
I get it............
Tim Tebow's last game. Their defense is loaded with upperclassmen who will be playing their last game. To top that off, they'll be playing an undefeated team from a BCS conference that theoretically should have a shot at the national championship--not a team from the mountain west conference. And to boot, Cincy will probably have a different head coach for this game. Rest assured, Florida will be ready. They're not comparable to Alabama in any way. Florida's won two national championships already. This game will be their curtain call. They'll actually be one of the most focused bowl teams out there, and I expect them to win BIG. They are not what Bama was last year. Bama had a bunch of underclassmen last year coming off a game they let slip through their hands. It was a crushing defeat, and they were playing a team that they, as underclassmen, undoubtedly took lightly. Alternatively, Florida boasts upperclassmen up and down their team. The seniors on this team have enjoyed unprecedented success--two national championships, three SEC championship games, and playing alongside probably the greatest college player of the modern era. They got dominated end to end against Bama in the SEC championship. There was no true heartbreak there. I expect this team to rally around Tebow, playing their last game, primed to put the cherry on top of the best era in Florida football.

And remember, you are betting into a horrible set of 8 point or more favorites (18-45). I cannot remember DDD being +EV in bowls EVER!

gameday betting squares will want Florida I see the line going up. I already posted I like the under
