Game 321/322 Indy/Jax, YOU KNOW the NFL is calling the owners right now, HUGE problem THIS is going to be the game that will cause the NFL to go with Ping Pong Balls in the future. In summary, both teams want to lose.... INDY. It's complicated. If they donk this game and WIN and the Rams lose, they blow the Luck Sweepstakes. Managment is WELL aware of this. They have got 'their people' out in force strssing how they are going to 'play to win". And Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny exist also. HOWEVER.......the veteran players and all the players likley WANT TO WIN. THey don't want to rebuild, they like Manning, and they will try hard. SO............behind the scenes no doubt the Indy coaching staff is working double time to figure out how to put forth a bad scheme here. JAX. Lose get the 4th pick. WIN get the 7th pick, watch your divisional rival get Luck for 10 years.....Go home in last place. With a new owner, no momentum, no hope, you have to feel these guys have vacations booked already. So they won't dump, but they will play with no effort. TOUGH CALL.
Nonsense...utter nonsense. The players don't give a rat's about Luck and the number one pick as proven by their intensity last week. Last week's game counted too didn't it. Indy sure doesn't care about this pick, maybe the Rams do, and should. Anyway, in a couple of days RG III will announce he's going pro and so who cares about No. 1 pick vs. No. 2? RG III is the better QB in my book. Coaches can't scheme how best to lose a game. They already lose most of their games by poor clock management and ridiculous 4th down punts or worse, poor 4th down play calls like the delayed handoff deep in the backfield. Way too much conspiracy theorizing for me.
If I was Irsay I would make sure the Coach knew this was NOT A GAME WE NEED TO WIN!!! Last week, Indy was sailing along, up a game, WITH tiebreakers......NOW their margin for error is gone........THEY NEED TO LOSE! Anyone thinking RGIII is going top 5 is delisonal.

I'm in agreement with Calsport for the most part. But if we're just talking nonsense what about JAC actually wants Indy to lose the game too. So they'll be trying very hard to win the game which supposedly will suit Indy and presto you have an easy JAX win. My theory would be that what JAX gets if Indy gets Luck (this is all nonsense I already qualified that right?) that he will be a premier player and at least JAX can guarantee that for the next 10 years they'll have one meaningless game in their meaningless seasons that will sell out as Luck storms through the NFL and breaks records. JAX? Playoffs? What diffierence does it make to this town? If Houston can keep Schaub maybe even take a run at the Super Bowl this year heck that is 2 games sold out next year. Not bad for JAx i think.
Indy donked games earlier on...in their last win, the refs gave them all those gift calls against the defense in that final drive...colts will have a poor game plan for the vets to execute...probably giving them tap water during practice hoping for cramps lol..RG3 is going to be a project...Baylor is offense is based on his legs with a wildcat version...He is smart and could develop in time to be a very nice nfl QB...Luck though is presently years ahead of RG3 in development...Just my two cents. Happy new years fellas! ps-i agree with Fez in that ping pong balls are coming to the NFL...
I think of teams who have backups similar to their starters. Rodney Peete and Andre Ware. Michael Vick and Vince Young. Tim Tebow and Robert Griffith? The coaching staff may have orders to sabotage their team in Indy, but an open question: Will the coach be fired regardless of the outcome? If so, a win helps him when he interviews for his next gig. Of course, if they win and he loses his job, it could be because he won :) Indy all the way on this one.
