pretty sure this was a particularly good year for the books. probably just one bad week around the just before halloween time. mgm is publicly traded. i wonder if their financial statements detail the activities of thier sports book.

One of the biggest in Texas that I know personally has only won 2weeks all season long. While the year to date Favs vs Dogs in NFL is probably not ridiculously off kilter, there have been at least 3 (If memory serves me right) weeks where the Favs have just demolished the board (either for entire day or for a sub-set, i.e. noon or 3pm) and the players have just gotten fat with all their crazy 5 team parlays and the like. I personally know one guy who was handling 5 seperate 1k credit line accounts that were up a combined 50k (Mainly off of 4 and 5 team 1H and game parlays over the first 7-8 weeks of the season in NFL)...the books simply can't get this back when dealing with guys with that type of credit line. I know the books are taking a BATH today.
We have not been paid yet by two locals (for two months). If we collect, it will be a small winning year. If we don't collect, it will be a losing year. For me, the betting year ends with the Super Bowl. Favorites dominated the early year, but dogs dominated the second half. The two locals in question probably did not have a big enough bank to weather the early run of favorites.
