Helmut Sports

Looking at opening numbers in the cbb totals market and then comparing them to other sports is not congruent. Many in the market will know bad numbers and will bet their pieces for dollars and nickels. It can take only 2 dimes in the entire market to move a CBB total four or five points the first two weeks of the season. Just because Helmut releases a play at a WA 142 does not mean you are getting the worst of the number even if it opened at 149. That 149 and the trail down to 142 may have only existed for two or three $500 bets in the entire market. His records and results are tremendous against WA numbers. Additionally while getting the best of it is clearly VERY VERY important, there should be no reason at all if you get the plays on the countdown that you won't get the game at the number or within one number of the release. Only three games' out of the 179 outcomes were affected one point the worst of it. With a 107-72 record last season, hard to beat. Helmut has delivered three consecutive 60% winning CBB seasons. His lifetime record is 260-174.
OK Doc - I understand now. Yes, I have seen Helmuts plays move lines, no doubt about it.
Agree, I routinely release totals in College Football 2 points worse than I bet...... Doesn't mean they aren't great bets.

I hear you, all I'm trying to say is u want get the best of it. But I do agree that he's a WINNER and has the records to prove it.

I think some are just wondering if you found a new 'Baker' and if he'll move the number pre-release.
Sportsmemo (assuming this is Tim) I do not want to go back and forth with you but you and I both know that $1500 in bets is not moving a game 7 points. Come on bud. I highly doubt there's anyone who can bet such small amounts at Cris and move it that much. If I make a 1500 dollar bet there they move a total 1point for college football. NO way they r moving 7pts off 3 nicks.
I think some are just wondering if you found a new 'Baker' and if he'll move the number pre-release.
that fucker still alive? last week he moved up three places on vegas' top ten most wanted list
Doc, The first two or so weeks of the season, Cris puts up an opening number while nearly 99% of all the other books wait for CRIS' number. They are the only book up with line for about five minutes. They will take a nickel on a total at the opener. They move 1 -to 2 points off nickel bets of the openers. If one bets the opener and they move the total 1-point, bet it again and they move 1.5 points. Gets bet again, another 1.5 points. Another nickel and 2-more points. Pull up some Don Best Line History on those totals from the first week of the season and you will see what I mean. The CBB totals market is different than other sports. However after the first month or so it settles down as well and becomes more fluid and less choppy. Limits rise, line get up earlier and the moves are not as dramatic. Still some great betting opportunities as Helmut and the bevy of cbb totals gurus have shown.
