Houston looking to push the tempo tonight

Houston looking to push the tempo tonight Track meet For the first time this season, the Rockets will play a team as determined to run as they are. But the Rockets said they will remain determined to be up-tempo. “That can’t change the way we’re going to play,” coach Rick Adelman said. “We’re not a team that can walk it up the court. Dallas can play both ways. We can’t play any different, no matter who we play.” Though the Mavericks are one of the NBA’s top running teams, Shane Battier said, if anything, the Rockets have to be more determined to get up and down the floor quickly against the Dallas size. “We have to play quick,” Battier said. “We have to play fast. They have so much size, if we try to slow it down, it works in their favor. We have to push the tempo, even faster.”
I believe you called for a track meet on Friday night between Portland and SA. What makes you believe your info is valid enough to produce a winner?
Not going to win them all, but the info is tremendous. So Friday's game didn't work...the Sunday Portland game was perfect and we were rewarded because of the sharing of the info by Bryan.
I believe you called for a track meet on Friday night between Portland and SA. That's way below the season averages for both teams and the league overall. The quote I included was not a personal feeling it was taken from a beat writer for Houston.

Brilliant post !!
I believe you called for a track meet on Friday night between Portland and SA. Fezz had the Broncos last night. I don't hear you calling him out.
Maybe you're overstating this a bit. YTD FG% for these 2 is now 43.5 and 47.0
The quote I included was not a personal feeling it was taken from a beat writer for Houston.
This is detailed info that is tedious to collect. It is a good use for a board such as this. But, is it meaningful?. I'm not being sarcastic, I'm not trying to be a wiseguy, and I really don't know the answer. There are 2 separate questions here: 1, information) Is the information accurate, pertinent, not yet in the lines? Dissemination of information only increases. So if it is valuable information, we should get some confirmation from the line movement. So far, I say no. 2, basketball) So the coach wants to push the tempo. Does that mean the players can and will do so? What happens when the other team plays defense? What happens when the players tire? We've all read and heard lots of coaches' BS. Just once, I want to hear a coach say "I'm telling my players to slow it down, and, uh, play passively."

When I posted the information the number was 198 1/2, after it was bet into the number peaked at 202. That's a 3 1/2 point line move. The number has since dropped back down to 199 as there was buyback on that number. As for coach speak I can only go by what people closer to the team than I have to say. As for the Houston players pushing tempo, of course they want to do that it gives them a better chance to win this game and it increases their stats. As for the Dallas game plan I don't have that information. I'm just trying to pass along something I thought had value. If you disagree that's fine too. I'm heading off to my Tuesday meeting so I won't be able to add anything else. Best of luck to everyone tonight regardless of what they found value in.
It's not exactly headline news that the Rockets are undersized and more up-tempo this season. The question is whether that's being fully priced into their totals yet. Having watched as a fan, they're not a classic run-and-gun team, but they're looking to run more than in prior years. They're still pretty good defensively despite the lack of size. I think the scoring we've seen in their first 6 games is a pretty fair sample, but unlike years past there will be some 125-120 track meets, no question.
Nice call BL
Nice one indeed BL..
