I am not sure if MLB tried, they could have a worse stretch drive "excitement wise" :eek: This is unbelieveable. You could play the season over 100 times and I am not sure you could have less of a "pennant race" then they have now. Kind of sad. You follow the sport all year and this is the 2 week stretch in mid September that usually has some really exciting baseball, especially in years past. Maybe things will change but it sure doesn't look like it.

Tampa going on an 11-game losing streak didn't help matters in the WC at all. Rockies-Dodgers in the NL West is the only good race. Rockies playing so well that they are running away from SF in the WC. The only hope for another good div race is if the Tigers go on a loss streak and lets the White Sox and Minny back in it.

Yup, I was thinking the same today. Good thing it is at the start of football season.
