If You were even THINKING about laying points with the Bengals on Thurs Here's some excerpts from Marvin Lewis' press conference from Bengals.com:
Will this be the typical third preseason game, when starters will see playing time that stretches into the third quarter?
ML: “It can’t be because we haven’t had the time. We haven’t had the normal week to prepare, so we’re just going to keep playing it as a preseason game. I think those ‘typical’ games went out a long time ago when they went to an 80-man roster. A lot of things change in how you play your players with the quick turnaround. No one used to play Thursday games, and the preseason was pretty much played on Saturday – Saturday to Saturday. So it’s a totally different thing now when you have a Sunday to Thursday turnaround like this. It isn’t typical of anything.”

If Newton plays three quarters, you have to figure that the rest of the starting unit would also play three quarters, including the offensive line. What kind of opportunities does that present?
ML: “It’ll be good for our backup players to play against some experienced guys. I understand they’re going to get some of their (injured) guys back this week as well. They’ve been a very productive team running the football over the years, so they’re well put together up front. So it’ll be good for our young guys to play against some guys who have played games in the National Football League.”
No surprise here if this line drops like a rock on gameday
