The impact of the NFL 3, New OT rules This year, the NFL will adopt the new OT rules. Namely, if
1. Team that gets the ball 1st
2. Kicks a fg.
Then the game does not end. It continues through at least 1 more possession.
If 1 and 2 don't occur, the OT rules are the same.
The impact will be to reduce the value of the NFL 3 from 23 cents down to about 20 cents. (SLightly more low totals, slightly less high totals). This means the no brainer
-2.5 -110 and +3 -110 middle is no longer a no brainer......... Further the value of the "3" is directly transferred to the value of the '6'. More games will land 6, fewer will land 3.
However, the impact will not be dramatic. Buying points up from +6 to +7.5 -140 given you were going to bet +6-110 is a no brainer now even more so than in the past. The impact of scoring will be to very slightly increase scoring obviously.
