Indy / Tenn Opening Line ?
Tough betting against Peyton Manning in a game they need to win by a few points. The guy finds a way to win and I have Indy rated pretty high so far this year.
I agree. I have Indy rated No. 1 overall at this point. But their stats are so good so far that isn't a surprise.
. The YPP stat I didn't know about (but obv should for the NFL)...thanks for that.
Solid Article on YPP. https://207.103.135.12/news_detail/article/1636/2009/october/07/football-experts-often-wrong.html
Old-timer's opinion on Indy-Tenn game Have betting trends changed that much over the decades? 25-30 years ago this game would have been a no-brainer...an underperforming team (Tennessee)highly motivated to show the country on Sunday night football at home that they aren't the fluzzies they seem to be, playing a team (Indy) which has been playing over their heads and now ripe for a let-down. That extra half point (+3.5) is icing on the pie.

Yes, I'd say they've changed. Without regard to the Indy/Tenn result. Both because the angles are known and thus in the line, and because MNF, for example, just isn't quite what it used to be. It's hard to explain how big a MNF game was back pre-cable.
Thought So
I'm saying it appears to me that Indy is the far superior team here. I am wondering if anyone had insight as to why, or help me understand. Again, I am learning (at least trying)
I appreciate everyone's response to my original post... Had a lot to think about. Ultimately went with my gut.. -4 Local Good day today.. thanks to many... hope you all did well.. Fezz / Anthony... great, great place to spend a little extra time....
