Inside is Alfs prediction of Pats/Steelers and..... another capper in a long list that disrespects arguably the greatest coach in NFL history. How many Super Bowls has Coach Bill been in Alf? Also he is arguably the greatest defensive coach in history. Alf questioned his use of Wilfork and more below. Any other mistakes the Patriots are making Alf? I read this last week before the game. Very few people at this point even in the "tough" northeast, question Coaches moves. He has proven he knows what he is doing and then some. He is the best there is. Tell me Alf, you think Wilfork should stay at nose tackle? ANy other ideas and suggestions I can forward to the coach that has been in how many Super Bowls? Please do not forget his coaching the Gmen to the Super Bowl as well multiple times. Let me know and I will forward them to coach for you. What base defense do you think the Pats should stick with? 238 Steelers -4 -112 The Patriots are masquerading as a top AFC 6-2 team. Their defense now ranks 29th in the NFL! HC Belichick last week implemented a defensive program to stop one guy, Cleveland RB Peyton Hillis. Hillis ran for 184 yards and two TDs. They have gone from a 3-4 defense to a 5-2 and put NT Wilfork on the outside for a pass rush? WR Wes Welker has 70 yards total since Randy Moss left, he is double teamed constantly. Last week Welker had to kick an extra point because their Kicker Gostkowski is now out with a thigh injury, the replacement is Shayne Graham who cannot hit a 40+ yd FG. You are going to hear and read that the Patriots off a loss with HC Belichick has been money in the bank. Most of those loses were against good teams and the next game was against weaker teams like the Bills and Jaguars, not the Steelers, who bring a stifling defense. We see QB Roethlisberger getting better each week and will have a solid game vs the Pats. Lay the points.
Classy post. There are few bigger Belichick sycophants than me, but it is worth noting that the greatest coach in NFL history was 24-26 against the spread in the 50 previous games heading into last night. While I was on the other side to Alf on this one I have every assumption that being in opposition to his hard work, prescience, and experience will be a pretty negative subset going forward.
Sounds like you also lost money on the Pats Johnny? I was 3-0 going into the Sunday night game. Overload/triple up on the last game? I didn't see your NFL picks for this week or any discussion...? My handicap of the Pats/Steelers game was as off, as I was correct on the Broncos game. Safety in numbers my friend. We are all wrong on many games sometimes not even close. Any Given Sunday? The Steelers obviously were flat, you can blame HC Tomlin for that, not me. When they lost WR Hines Ward they gave up and the Patriots "D" looked like world beaters against the hapless/injured Steelers OL. Still, I thought the Steelers D would dominate. But I will tell you this, when I come to table/windows to bet a Patriots game you should listen, because I can guarantee I know more about the Patriots than you ever will. Why? I'm the biggest fan of the Pats this side of the border my friend. I have not missed a Pats game since 1981. I still have most of them on tape, my office is filled with Patriots memorabilia, I have every Rookie card of every Patriot that has ever played, I've been to over 30 Patriot games in 16 different stadiums, I lived in Boston for a period of time after college and I have BET ON OR AGAINST THE PATRIOTS MORE THAN ANY MAN ALIVE AND MADE PLENTY OF CASH DOING IT! I can't hear sometimes because I have three Super Bowl rings plugging my ears.....cripes! Hey, congrats Coach Belichick, you are the best, certainly off a bye, but you blew the Browns game by a mile and the defense still is a work in progress. We are looking decent with a shot at the playoffs, other than that I'm not going to get too excited.
Alf has consistently 'rode the Pats' train to winners.... He has had a good read on this team, and while he had the wrong side, he has been winning on and agaisnt the Genuis for years.

As I've stated in the past....we are all here for the same reason, to cash tickets. Sports betting is a marathon, not a sprint and all that matters is that you come out ahead in the long run. Here at LVASports there are many sharp handicappers, bettors and members. I consider everyone a part of Team Alf. I thank YOU!
So Alf, you want to discuss the points I brought up? I did not think so. This post is about Pats/Steelers and ALf openly questioning the best coach in NFL history. THe analysis blew up in your face (which is an understatement...when you start talking about Wilfork and where he is being placed by the coach who brought him to the pro bowl, it is over the top to be kind). It happens. Deal with it and move on.

BAd news take a look at what he has done with the Patriots and eat some humble pie (with Alf, lol). PERIOD.

Wow. Did you wake up with angry pills? I agree with Alf on the more the merrier plan, bubba. Seems to me Alf wins more often than lose. Do you just pick one anylysis to steam on because it cost you money? And why wait until after the fact to blow up? Why didn't you question it before the game. Brave man.
