It's precisely because there are so many sharps on this site, that few of them are willing to give up their reasons for betting a game. What handicapper who's been around for years (or decades) wants a pointspread to work against him in the future because he gave up a great system for no gain?
I've found value here if just from Fezzik's picks. He's hit just over 53% of the games I've tracked (his Hilton and LeRoy's included, but no half and quarter bets). Unfortunately for me, I've been cherry-picking, selecting what I considered to be the best of his picks, and hitting only 47% for the year.
But that's only one year of betting. It takes thousands of wagers and years of betting to determine if you're truly any good. And then you die.
Condolences to "Even Money" who made seven bets based on the advice learned on this site and has determined it's a contrarian indicator!
