Is this offensive coordinator for the SF 49's... Out of his mind? I hope 49s go on to win this game but the play calling is just atrocious. The constant desire to throw with Alex Smith is beyond anything I have ever been witness to. They are running the ball down their throat but it is if that isn't good enough for them...it is like someone (either OC or Head Coach) wants to prove they can win "their" way. And on a side note....how many times do you have to throw a ball right off a defensive linemans head or hands before you start thinking about trying to throw it a little higher if you are Alex Smith? Geez these 49s are hard to watch.

Dominated the game but turnovers and then this desire to throw, throw, throw cost them the game. They got the ball back with less than a minute to play deep inside their own territory. Rather than run at least one play, or screen to at least have a chance to pick up decent yardage, they threw downfield all three times (all incomplete passes), ran virtually no time off the clock and punted it back to Seattle allowing them to keep their timeouts. A few seconds later Seattle was kicking the game winning field goal.
They want to throw to try to keep the defense honest, but they should have told him to just throw it out of bounds every time. The 49ers got more donations than the Salvation Army.
