It is official.... Betting any NFL playoff game under in this day and age makes you a complete balloon head.
ne u hurt a bit
How quickly you forget. Unders were 3-1 in the Wildcard round. Both of today's games could have easily gone under.

The Pats game was a joke that it didn't go under. It's just the stupid NFL. Where no 4th quarter is safe from the last 5 minutes of high scoring hell????

No saving yourself for next week for the losing team. They're going to let it fly 'til the end. First half unders might be better, depending on what key numbers the line is dancing around. Just hypothesizing, not backed by data.
The Bears game was never going under.
28-3 in the 4th quarter. Bears ball in own territory. If they run the ball and do short passes, they can run down a lot of clock and end the game.

With 5 minutes left the score was 28-10 and the Bears had the ball on the SEA 40. That drive looked like they would work a couple more minutes off the clock and either try to pin them deep with a punt or kick a FG to put it on 41 and then I only would have had one desperation Seahawk drive (with no chance of them attempting a FG) to get it over. If the Bears got the ball back again they probably would have run out the clock completely or 3 and out with running plays and then punt deep and give SEA the ball back with little time remaining. Of course the 39 yard TD pass to go over was a gift as was the crazy HB pass that Martz called early in the 4q.
The game was OVER when idiot Martz called the Wildcat halfback idiot pass play. When are these coaches going to quit wasting downs? I haven't seen a successful Wildcat play used all post season and have seen more than one that was or should have been a turnover (Bears INT and in Jets game Tomlinson fumbled but a Jet lineman recovered it)...
Burger is write that pats jets game was BAD BEAT for me too...seriously, these teams just stop playing def in the 4th QTR every game

They are probably trying to set something up for the next game. Watching the X's and O's from Leroy Butler and he talks about that play and how they can run variations off of it against the Packers. It's the execution of the play that failed. Simply can't make that throw. Need to pull it down and run the ball. I had the over in both games and certainly didn't deserve to win the Pats over and maybe not even the Bears over. But, I've lost plenty of those types in the 2nd half of the season so I'll take it and cash it. Kevin is right. This time of year they will do anything when they are down because it's their last game. Similar to March Madness when a team starts fouling with three minutes left to put up an additional 30 points on the board.
