Jax vs.Hou

Jax vs.Hou Did Jax kick the PAT with no time left on the clock yesterday? Is the choice optional? Just asking, because it blew out my teaser!
This has been discussed before on here (you may be able to search it) and I kind of remember that in college it is kind of up in the air as to whether they kick it or not but in the NFL they always do.
But only in regulation, not in OT?
Correct. OT is sudden death so the game is over on a score. Doesn't necessarily make sense that they do it when the clock says 0:00 in regulation but they do it. I have seen it in the NBA as well where they will literally bring a guy out of the locker room to shoot a foul shot AFTER the game.

Its my understanding they do this at the end of regulation for the simple fact that they blow teasers ;) just kidding I do know that there is an 8th level tiebreaker for playoffs that deals with pf or pa or total points scored which is why teams are required to kick the pat.makes no sense to me why they don't kick it in overtime but such is life in the nfl
