LVH SuperContest Drawing

LVH SuperContest Drawing Friday nght they held their seminar and had a big day of sign-ups. At last check total entrants was in the low 400s and today should be another big day. My entries are in, including the LVASports entry. The LVASports entry should be going head to head in a side bet with old friend Fezzik for 5k just to make things a little more interesting. Tonights drawing for four free entries takes place at 7pm in the ballroom just past restaurant row. I'll be there to see if maybe a rebate of 1500 can be won. Anyone with drawing tickets that might be there as well is welcome to combine on the drawing with us and pro-rate any winnings based on pct of tickets contributed. There are a couple other players already in on the ticket pool so our chance of getting something back is reasonable. My early estimate of a 2000 ticket drum may be a bit low. If the drum has 2000 in it then each ticket is worth $3. Maxing out your ticket allowance through bets and entries can get you approx $200 in EV if my barrel estimate is close. There is a pretty easy way to get 50 drawing tickets and with moderate effort get another 20 for 70 total. That's what I did, buying two entries (gets you 10 tix per entry) and betting 60 $20 football future bets gets you the first 50 and that's pretty easy. The football futures can be on season wins so best way to go about it is to pick five or six bets from the season wins and make a $20 bet on each one per trip to the window. Six bets at $20 each on a trip to the window wil take you five window visits to get your 60 bets. You then take those tickets to the contest-only window and they'll give you your 30 (max allowable) tickets for football futures. You can get another twenty by turning in twenty losing two-team baseball parlay tickets. That requires a little more work as you have to bet then keep the losers and redeem in same manner. All bet tickets must have your players card number on them so no funny stuff with someone elses bets is possible. Will recap the eventual approximate drawing EV our group ends up with along with the actual result. Not doing any of the golf stuff but many are. No EV there as you have to pay for golf to start with and there is only one entry given to the golfers. I suck at golf so only shot I'd have at closest to the pin is if they let me use a baseball bat to tee off.
They gave away 30+ prizes before the four SuperContest entries. Our group won four of those but all four were of dubious value. The two most valuable prizes they gave away were a six month and a one year subscription to Don Best Premium line service. Premium goes for $500 a month so the one year prize was worth 5k-6k if you look at it that way. Drum looked about what I had estimated, 2000 or so. Definitely got pulled the most but ran bad on the prizes. Don't know what a Kasey Kahne autographed shirt is worth but ended up with two of those. Next stop for Kasey is eBay.
