M caps the entries at 30 for 3K contest They told me they decided to take in 90K and then M will pitch in the last 10K. Reason for the cap was vague but they seemed pretty matter-of-fact about it. 110% equity contest so I think when SouthPoint announced they were ON for this year M may have just decided to assure an overlay and maybe draw the bulk of the early entries with this announcement.

Not so smart Fezzik edit: Likely they have some software/display boards/computer issues set up for 30 entrants. It's the first year. Always a challange in year 1 to get the details down.

Frank, Is the contest already full? or are they capping after they get the first 30 entries?
