M INISIDE Wagering (no vig, 2.5% COMMISSION) TAKING COMMAND

M INISIDE Wagering (no vig, 2.5% COMMISSION) TAKING COMMAND I just spoke with Mike Colbert. They are stepping up their options, offering their new product from 3:30-7:30 pm today and tomorrow (and on the weekends). NFL and select college. A great situation!! I will see all at the M.........by the way I like to call it INSIDER TRADING!!
Do they plan on doing this every week thurs-Sun??
Well, ideally what would be nice is to see other sportsbooks get into the act, and have the market expand on the low-vig, exchange, commission concept. Vegas sportsbooks could learn a lot from offshore. Some concepts, some as simple as "almost parlays" that offer a partial refund on 2 out of 3, 3 out of 4, and 4 out of 5 parlay tickets would drive people right back to the sportsbook window onto their property, plus at no risk to the casino after a slight adjustment possibly to pricing the ticket. You don't have to be Simon Noble to figure this out. Stevie Wonder could see this one.
From what I read in Gaming Today they have the right to take or decline your bet. Is that right? You have to wait for the session to end to see if you have a bet? Does anybody besides me have a problem with that or did I just read the whole article wrong?

What exactly are we dealing with... is it basically like an exchange where I put up an offer of Oregon -26 +100 and just see if it gets accepted?
Here's how it works at the M: You open an account and fund it. Each seat has a computer screen and keys on the bottom of the screen where you access your account and place your wagers. Each game from the rotation comes up, one game for a 5 minute interval, then it is taken down and the next game on the rotation comes up. (If you want to place a wager on the Chargers' game, for example, you have to wait for their game to come around on the rotation. Six games away on the rotation equals 30 minutes.) You place your offer during the 5 minute window when that game comes up, and you find out after the 5 minute window closes if your bet was accepted or not. Then the next game on the rotation opens for 5 minutes, and so on until the betting time ends. It is like matchbook with a fixed price with 0 juice (some games are "spread" +105 and "spread" -105, for example).
Thanks Climate, sounds very cool.
great first step. hoping they follow up rapidly and offer markets all over...also get it out of the casino and make it accessible statewide. now is a prime time for these guys to take over the industry.

It's even better that you got your bets accepted. Who wants to go all the way down there to have their bets rejected? Thanks
