math majors

math majors i have two nfl win totals that i know are sideable/bettable. the first seems better than the second, but i'm trying to quantify them both before pulling the trigger on amoumts. they're "no posts" so there is no tie up of money. first, an nfl team is over 10 -130 and under 11 -130. seems fat, but how so? secondi have another nfl team at over 8 1/2 -130 and under 9 +115. good also. these are at "off screens, so i can't even direct you anywhere. can anyone, without going to a lot of effort quantify these a la wong and yao ?

If I remember Fezzik correct, half a win should be valued at about 45-50 cents in the NFL - more value at both ends, and less value around 8. For the first play, that should be about 10,5 +120 for both sides, which is quite a surebet. FOr the other play, it should be about +115 for both bets, which also is quite a surebet. Especially without posting up any money, and with a very little financial risk (you loose a little juice with the first landing away from 10 or 11 wins, and the second landing on 9 wins or more).
