Math Question

Math Question I took the Titans today at -2.5 -125 rather than the WA -3 -110. While it didn't matter as they covered easily, I was wondering if this was the correct play. I make plays like this somewhat instinctively rather than knowing the exact probabilities and the more I think about this one, the more I wonder. For the future, what's the right call and why?

a half point usually costs 10 cents, and I am not sure that buying off the three is necessarily worth 15. I'd have taken the minus-3. (mostly replying to give you a bump. hopefully someone else can give a more definitive response.)

NFL 3 is worth approximately 22-23 cents, it was the correct move.
