MGM/MIrage, does anyone even read their prop sheets? They put up "Will there be a score final 2m OF THE GAME'. THis is close to a pk'm. But they meant to make it the more conventional, final 2 minutes of the 1st half. So made the No +240 or so. Long gone of course. Unfair to pick on the MGM, as these mistakes are commonplace, but it is frightening how much sharper the good bettors are than the books. And don't even get me started on Planet Hollywood (the Old Aladdin). Set the Indy ML -180. They take bets -180 1 dime limit ON THE SBOWL. THEN THEY DON'T MOVE THE LINE. It is amazing to me that no one in upper, upper management realized how much money they could make by hiring someone to run their book who had A CLUE.
oh my. missed the openers there. i could almost write a book on the mistakes mgm/mirage makes day in and day out...and their policies are a joke. the ineptitude of alot of these local books really is baffling. as mentioned on the bottom left of page, the only real solidly run sportsbook are M, Hilton and South Point...Cal Neva, ehh hard to include in that group... the rest are just pure chimpanzee stuff.
To be fair, MGM Mirage had the prop right on the sheet, just not on the board or the ticket. This really isn't a "they don't know what they're doing" thing, it's a "someone made a typo and nobody caught it" thing. Of course, if they had someone who knew what they were doing double checking everyone's work, these would be less likely to occur. Kind of a hard sell to casino management, especially since if they're doing their job, nobody would notice.
MGM, Robert Walker for YEARS moved the vig on totals, not the side I used to say "When this guy leaves, NO ONE will ever repeat this stupid policy, which makes no sense, and upsets the SQUARES!" I was Wrong. New guy takes over. SAME THING!!

The M, made the same typo on their initial sheets last week. I bet the no at + odds, for 5 limit bets. I asked the kid who was managing at the time if the sheet was correct and he told me yes. Later, the regular manager came over and told me it should read for the 1hf. They then voided out my tickets. I said that's what I thought it should read, but that's why I asked if it was correct in the first place. I am not trying to cheat anyone, but I'll certainly take advantage of a good bet before someone else does... Typos happen, but I am curious if the bets are in the system for the last 2 mins of the 1hf and not for the game. My tickets from the M just said "NO 2 min" so you couldn't tell which half it was for. The manager told me after that they were in the system as NO for the 1hf. Either way MGM would have to pay them out if that's what the board read. If you are running a sportsbook you should probably realize something is amiss if something that is at +240 odds gets bet down to +100, or whatever it is at the MGM now.
