Michigan may have just called the worst play ever If the punter did that on his own, I doubt he'll be on the team next week.

He just said at the press conference that the punter made the call on the fake and that they allow him (the punter) to make that decision :confused:. I thought RR got a little defensive when answering the question by saying it didn't make any difference in the game because they held them to a field goal. If it's true, that the punter can make this call inside their own 20, then UM may want to change this.

to give your punter a green light to make that decision in that position is just dumb...at midfield let him decide..on your own 10 tell him to punt it..I love how dick rod deflected the blame to his punter...he was quick to say.."there must have been a seam there....I guess"... that was totally coaching..i bet he does not give Mesko the read choice any more (inside his own 30).

I thought the same thing when the Bears long snapper was given the same latitude and made a similar decision in the GB/Chi season opener

Same thing with Texas against Wyoming. Punter took off thinking he could get it and wasnt close
