More dummies Evidently, San Diego would rather watch the Giants run off 40 seconds and save a time out for offense And evidently Detroit is unable to call 2 plays without forgetting them. Three completions for first downs followed by 3 spikes of the ball. Mindboggling.
The SD was conscience decision as Norm had smartly taken 2 TO's prior - at first I agreed with you, but I can see wanting to hold one TO for the offense. This might not be a 50/50 call but I don't think it ranks up there with the worst at all - funny, they didn't even need it on the TD drive, which I guess would support your opinion.
Why would you hold one for offense? You can never take more than 40 seconds between plays and you 100% know NYG will... Theres only a slim chance you will. Much better to use on defense.
Because you can use a time out for its other intended purpose: to discuss/design a play.

SD has plenty of time outs so there is no way you can run the clock out and if you don't score a touchdown or get a first down, you give the ball back to SD with two minutes left. Way more than enough time for SD to drive the length of the field and win the game, which they did. They should have played aggressive football and tried to win the game with a touchdown by throwing the ball. If they could have run the clock down to one minute or so, it would be a different story. Terrible coaching, IMO.
LOL hi Andy Reid!
LOL Philly doesnt even have any timeouts. that might have been an alltime top 10 stupid move
Maybe Reid has Akers on his fantasy team.
