I would think that it would merely make recruiting more of a challenge. Sure, Michigan may have trouble getting recruits from California. (Oh wait, Tom Brady.) But if you're from North Dakota, Michigan doesn't seem cold at all. All kidding aside, a recruit is more likely to play somewhere warmer than colder if he is good enough to be recruited by multiple schools. What cold-weather schools should be recruiting first are hot coeds. Getting a 17-year-old to think with the wrong brain isn't very hard.
