NBA/NHL Totals for Friday

NBA/NHL Totals for Friday Lines are going wacko this morning as it usually does for NBA Totals early in the day and this one has jumped quickly to a current 209 level. I would still play it at this new line but not past 210.5 with some value gone for sure. I know that the Lakers have demonstrated good D here at home for the last fw years but with a couple of tough games on the road they are likely to enjoy this one against a lessor foe. Memphis is going to push the action because that is what they do and with young legs in and out of the lineup they are likely to do this for 48 minutes. Gasol's absense is going to help. This team can't even spell DEFENSE though and Kobe might have his biggest nite of the year. I have a 215 handicapped game here. #523/524 Grizzlies/Lakers Over 206.5
Can Milwaukee score without Redd? Apparently Oddsmakers think they can't as they opened this line at an extraordinarily low line of 185 and that was pushed down to 184 at most books as bettors bit into it. Cooler Heads are prevailing now as the realization sets in that they might have some success verses the Wolves, who are not even close to the likes of Chicago, Detroit, and Philly, when it comes to stopping the opposition. Through it all, they have maintained a nice pace and the team they are playing is pacing well as well, as expected. I have this one at 193 and good enough for me. #513/514 Bucks/TWolves Over 186
This one has moved into Bargain Territory. Yes, I do know that Robinson who is out "Makes this Knicks team go." Yes, I do know that Cleveland plays a good brand of defense. But the fact is, the Knicks will adjust to his absense and they will continue to do what they do best and worst. That would be push the action, and play horrific defense. With this being an ESPN Contest, they will find a way to not to be blown out of the arena, or at least they will try to find a way, and the only way they can do that and have a chance at a win is to do what they do best and worst. I think I have covered that already. I would play this up to 205 and have handicapped it at 209. #517/518 Cavaliers/Knicks Over 201.5
Most likely done with NBA and for now it looks like we got some great numbers on the Bucks and Grizzlies games. NHL coming, if I see something noteworthy..

What do we know about the Washington Capitals? We know that they score a lot of goals. We know that they allow a lot of goals scored against them. We know that this game tonight is the first one they have played this year where the line is below 6 and we know that they have played 15 of them. Does this mean Value? YES! The Panthers are off two consecutive shutouts but I doubt they get one tonight and the fact is, the last 3 of 4 between these two have seen 6 or more goals scored with 25 pucks hitting the net in those 3 OVERS. Let's be a smart bettor, shall we? #7/8 Capitals/Panthers Over 5.5 -115
Nothing else floating my boat right now, but I might play into some numbers that go my way late today in the NBA. Stay Tuned.
