Tough to say without the numbers yet, but I would lean with Clippers OVER if it's low enough. Addition by subtraction trading Randolph. THey have Baron, Eric Gordon, Thornton, a hopefully healthy Kaman, Blake Griffin, Camby on defense, an improving DeAndre Jordan, Craig Smith (nice pickup from Minnesota), Telfair's a decent backup PG, Novak a deadly 3-pt shooter. They have too much talent to be as crappy as they were last year.
Clip's def have a lot of talent but Blake G. with some nagging injuries right now, Camby with a knee issue already, and Dumbleavy is bottom 3 coach in league.
Baron is in incredible shape and Al Thornton can really score the basketball coming into his 3rd year. Eric Gordon can light it up but it is hard to play him and Baron together against big backcourts.
It will be interesting to see how they set this one as far as the total goes. I think last year it was around 32.5 (I actually played OVER last year and Clips were one of few losses I had in my NBA futures portfolio) and that was before the Wacko Zacho trade.
Baron came in fat and happy last year and had a dreadful season.
I'll be surprised if the Clips total is set much differently than last year based on the addition of Blake Griffin and expecting a healthier and more productive season.
I haven't done a real assessment of their season setup (road trip timing) but I am listening to them on the radio right now playing the Warriors and I will be intrigued to say the least about what the season total for the Clips will be set at.
With all the positives for them they still are being led by one of the worst situational x's and o's guys the league has ever been witness to and Dumbleavy's clock management is usually worse than any of his opponents.
