ND/Stanford You likely won't win without Power Ratings..... Someone mentioned they liked the Irish +3.5. The problem is that Stanford is about 10 points better in power ratings than ND. When you start asking a team to rise up in a 'great spot', but they have situation working for them, but not value, you are not going to win. Further, not even a good spot IMO for ND. Stanford cruising in with momentum, lots of energy, ND off life and death losses back to back Mich and Mich St, how much energy can they have.... Missed the STanford -3 on this board, but Stanford -4 is still cheap and the right side at that price IMO.
We still might get -3... as ND $$ comes in.
These 'power ratings' that you refer to, are they posted somewhere?
Fezz - are the power ratings what you use... [QUOTE=Fezzik;28161]Someone mentioned they liked the Irish +3.5. The problem is that Stanford is about 10 points better in power ratings than ND. As an example if it's 7 or more off, etc... Or do you usually just take the points? Thanks.

Attend my 'overpriced' summer seminar next year, I cover this IT's complicated....
Fighting Rudys play a tough schedule every year. They are used to it. They will dig in deep this week at home to try and avoid 1-3. They dont have to for me losing by 3 would be OK. others are getting a better line. I just don't see Stanford as being noticibly better. I give them credit for kicking UCLA around, they did not destroy them in offensive yardage and probably a bad day for UCLA, but I give credit there. i dont give credit for kicking around a weak ACC team. May well be Stanford thinks a bit too much of themselves now and ND is a hungry home doggie. I guess we all find out Saturday.
NO, we will find out Saturday morning....... When the line goes up to 6. The rest is just variance. Irish 1-15 SU as a dog last three years, looks like all they are used to is losing in big games.

Would your power ratings have changed had the MSU holder overthrown the guy on the fake FG to win the game and ND won? Or if the ref called delay of game with the same alacrity he did in the first half on that fake FG? What about if ND stops Denard on the 4th and 1 late in the fourth quarter to win the game? What would you make the line if ND gets a little bit of luck and is 3-0?

I smell some leprochons! What planet does ND play a tough schedule every year? They play a average at best schedule compared to any of the "real" BCS conferences. And if Stanford is not noticably better, than it's even weaker. I do beleive the experience edge at quarterback is pretty key. If you think ND can score, they couldn't put the total high enough. Stanford will score and they will score plenty.
