ND/Stanford You likely won't win without Power Ratings.....
You don't think bad luck has anything to do with it? Would your power ratings have changed had the MSU holder overthrown the guy on the fake FG to win the game and ND won? Or if the ref called delay of game with the same alacrity he did in the first half on that fake FG? What about if ND stops Denard on the 4th and 1 late in the fourth quarter to win the game? What would you make the line if ND gets a little bit of luck and is 3-0?
Good points, but for me it is has more to do with Stanford being underrated than Notre Dame overrated. I do think we got a glimpse of Michigan not being quite the quality opponent that we thought they were. I think Stanford is quite a bit better than Michigan or Mich State. I will say that Kelly has covered/won several games with talent gaps similar to this one, so it's no sure thing.
Bet -3 at the open but it felt funny for some reason. Why was it only 3? Stanford is no doubt the better team and has without a doubt the better QB and off/def lines. HOWEVER road games are no gimmies and the Irish are a wounded animal. They either survive here or the season turns into a disaster. I like my bet but it's one of those where you are waiting for the "Milwaukee's Best" beer can to drop out of the sky!
Same old, Same old
Not for much longer with this coach. He is the real deal. They lack talent. Again not for much longer.
What do you mean? We've all heard this story before. How many successful coaches have the Irish had since Lou Holtz? Have you seen their current recruting class - meaning 2011? Shoulda, coulda, woulda vs. the Michigan schools??? Looking at the schedule below I would say Yes - for a lot, LOT, longer. This is a 7-9 win program (9 in a good year)... Sorry to break the news, but Touchdown Jesus has been dead for a while now. 2012 9-1 Navy @Dublin, Ireland 9-8 Purdue 9-15 @ Michigan State 9-22 Michigan 10-6 vs. Miami FL @Chicago, IL 10-27 @ Oklahoma 11-3 Pittsburgh 11-17 Wake Forest 11-24 @ Southern California TBA @ Boston College

They have a GREAT ONE now. It will take a little time but this team will be a machine in 2 years.

Maybe if they beat Stanford he'll get a 10yr extension...
They have not had a real good coach in while. They have a GREAT ONE now.
