Nd/uconn Refs call "phantom" hold call on UCONN receiver nullifying 30 yard touchdown run to give UCONN the lead. I could see if it was borderline, but it wasn't even close. At least both announcers had the balls to say it was a terrible call.

Edsell botched it by not trying to get his kicker closer. He lets the clock run down and kicks on 2nd down. A 37 yarder to win at Notre Dame for a kid that hasn't been nails this season.. 50-50 at best. And you are running for 5 yards per carry.

Totally agree, had 2 time outs left. Run one more play and get your kicker 3-5 yards closer.
