Nevada Athletics

Nevada Athletics I believe the game I just watched (Mizzou at Nevada) may have been the worst coached game of all time. I'm not kidding either. Chris Ault may be well respected but that was as awful from wire to wire use of time outs, two point conversion attempts, and situational play calling as I have ever been witness to. Everyone has off nights...players, coaches, and officials.... But that was down right embarrassing for the University of Nevada football program. And no, I didn't have a wager on either side. Good luck this weekend. burger
I grow weary of you posting the same thing on 2 different forums. I give this thread 1 star.
Actually it was 3 forums. The good thing about forums is.... All you have to do is not click on the link and you don't have to read anything that you don't want to. In case you didn't realize such a thing. Good luck to you.
I have to agree... [QUOTE=burger;3606]I believe the game I just watched (Mizzou at Nevada) may have been the worst coached game of all time. I'm not kidding either. Down by 12 points -- if you miss the conversion, you no longer have the FG + TD option for a tie. Granted, the conversion was made and at that late point in the game, it was clearly not likely to matter, but just very evident of Ault not thinking through his decisions.

I played Mizzou -6' and thought it was a wrong side winner (Nev fumble going in for TD changed whole game, at least from pointspread). But I agree. Going for the 2 pointers so early was a joke. TO mgt in 1H by Nev was worst I've ever seen by a team. Play calling was bad as well - didn't seem like Mizzou ever stopped the option when the Nev QB went outside ever but they went away from it - old axiom if it keeps working do it until they stop you. But my god, how bad must Illinois be - I thought Mizzou looked very slow in the run game and their D leaves a lot to be desired. Their QB was decent but it was comical when they tried to run the option with him - he's slower than Ketchup. Good thing Nev D was as bad as advertised and I now see the reason why they say Coach Alt has never won a big game. i'll look to be against Mizzou in the future.
