It depends on my analysis. If I thought that playoff odds are deflated because the public likes to bet underdogs straight up, then I would make two straight bets. If I thought that the two teams had similar correlated offenses that would likely both win or both lose then I might consider IF-bets. I might even parlay the two teams and also parlay their opponents. But I fail to see why I would do this on the moneyline instead of straight up.
What we have here is a suspicious recommendation to parlay two T.V. favorites. There is no reasoning nor record-keeping. I think the logic is that a -400 team won't lose. Therefore if you parlay a bunch of -400 teams together then you won't lose.
