NFL Week 4 Jets +7

NFL Week 4 Jets +7 Some members argue it isn't hard to track a handicapper's record. Well, I argue it is even easier to track your own record. So I will illustrate. My pick is NYJ +7. The Jets beat the Patriots and I think they are for real this year. I realize New Orleans has a bye next week, but don't think the Jets will overlook them. Look at the comparable spreads this week (TB@Was, NYG@KC, SD@Pitt), and I don't think the disparity between the Jets and Saints is justified. I will use a closing line unless Fezzik releases this game at an earlier number. In other words I claim the same line as Fezzik.
So it is not a wager by yourself, just and opinion at whatever the best line is now or in the future. That is convenient. GL
I will use a closing line unless Fezzik releases this game at an earlier number.

whatever the best line is now or in the future.
No, if Fezzik releases it then I will grade it at the same line he uses. Otherwise I will use the closing line. For example, the line is currently +7. But it might deteriorate to +6.5. Then I would grade at 6.5. Or it might improve to +7.5. Then I would grade at 7.5. You can just look up the closing line at Don Best or VegasInsider. Clear?
Did you already bet this or are you planning to wait to get a better number?

Um, wut? This is some of the most retarded shit I've read in some time.
Sorry Ahearnb, I don't want to discuss personal bets. Jackie, unlike my monitoring guidelines, your insult isn't clear. Using a common monitoring line with Fezzik avoids the problem of getting different records on the same picks. Otherwise I will simply use the archived closing number. This requires minimal incremental verification. If you are insulting Golfguru, then try to appreciate his reflexive skepticism about monitoring. This thread illustrates basic controversies and confusions about monitoring. That's exactly why we need an example. If the board gets too cluttered then we may need to put all weekly picks in a single thread.
I think I may be missing something obvious but if someone says my pick plus 7 , thats what it should be graded at. If it goes to plus 10 or plus 3 who cares, it should be at what it is recommended at. Just my opinion with all due respect.
Ahearnb, it looks like this long thread has many followers who are impacting the market and moving the number. :-) Ordinarily it is good to wait on underdogs, but this line may not last. Nevertheless, to prevent monitoring complications I will count it at the close.
I was just curious what you chose to do - wait, or bet it now? If this question is too personal, I apologize.
This is interesting. I suspect more to come. Peanuts, a little restraint, please.
