NFL Week #5

NFL Week #5 I have many leans on several games, but unless the numbers move in my direction, no significant action. 6pt Teaser Ravens -1 with Dallas -1 I like this teaser allot. The Broncos are a fraud of an offense, with no running game, RB Moreno out, Maroney is terrible, why do you thnk Belichick let him go. Ravens have by far the best pass defense that Denver will have faced. Dallas with the extra week to prepare, off a big win, should man-handle Tennessee. Most cappers will take Fisher + the pts, but this spot tougher than LW, and the Titans let Denver do what ever they wanted.
Thanks Alf. I rarely play teasers but I actually did this week with Ravens -1, Bengals -1/2. Good luck.
LIKE IT ALF i think there is value putting bal with chicago and washington as well. i have all three of these big. gl today.
added Jacksonville +3 -120

Chan Gailey and Wade Phillips two of the worst coaches in the history of the NFL. BRUTAL!
Chan Gailey and Wade Phillips two of the worst coaches in the history of the NFL. BRUTAL!
Agreed. How Phillips keeps getting the head coach job (and lasting when he is there despite serious underachieving) is astounding.
Just curious here Alf, why is Chan Gailey one of the worst coaches in the NFL? I know he had the safety week 1 vs. Miami, but the guy was a very good offensive coordinator for many years and he didn't need a top level qb to get it done. The bills roster is a mess. They simply cannot win in the trenches and have 2 starting offensive tackles that would not make most rosters. Gailey was recommended by Bill Cowher and has been away from the NFL game for a few years while spending time in the college game. He is a no nonsense guy. Maybe he is meant to be a coordinator like wade Phillips but 5 games into the season and considering what he has inherited I gotta give him some time here before I pass judgement. I like gailey.
Just curious here Alf, why is Chan Gailey one of the worst coaches in the NFL?
During Bills training camp, there was a day where a group of fans were booing Trent Edwards. Gailey personally and publically chastised the fans, and then told his players not to sign autographs for the section were these fans were sitting. Gailey then told the media during a press conference, "If you boo one of us, you boo us all...blah, blah, blah." A real coach, like Parcells, would have left the fans alone, and then told the media, "They have a right to boo, we are terrible, we owe Bills fans more than this (some of the most loyal fans in the league despite one of the worst teams in the league), we will get better." You are correct though that Gailey inherited a team of bad players. But, that doesn't excuse his terrible strategic decisions, i.e., taking the safety and then trying for an "on-side punt", which play doesn't even exist. That decision was an admission that he (Gailey) does not even understand the rules of the NFL game. Gailey is best suited for a coordinator position, just like Wade Phillips (another former BUF head coach), Gregg Williams (another former BUF head coach), and Mike Mularky (another former BUF head coach). There is a trend developing....
Fans do have the right to boo but going to a teams practice and booing before a game has been played is overboard and I don't think bill parcels would declare his team terrible in training camp. Regardless, that specific outburst has nothing to do with wether or not the guy can coach. Making Kordell Stewart look like an MVP qb does though.
