NFL Week 7: Chi +1 I make Chi and Cin about equal, so I pick Chi at close, currently +1. I expect the line to improve, and would be otherwise reluctant to make the pick.
I won't count this pick, but find the Min-Pitt line offers interesting value. According my power ratings last week, Pitt was around 1.5 points better than Min. Add in a home field of 2.5, and you are getting a half point of value with the current line of Min +4.5. But my ratings were based on the average season lines. Clearly Min has outperformed and should probably be rated a little better now. But everyone loves Min and I expect the line to deteriorate, offering less value at close.
