NFL week 9 - 10am Game Notes Atl @ Car -7.5/46.5
-----------
Carolina has allowed no TDs in the 1H this season. Something that's
only been done once (1986 Broncos) since 1935. The Panthers have
allowed 23 pts in the 1H and just 5 pts in the 1Q. The Falcons have
been surprisingly stingy in the 1Q as well, allowing just 3 pts. This
is just the type of stat that as soon as you take notice and make a bet
based on it, they give you a 14-7 1Q. The 1Q total is 7.5 UN -105
and the line on "will there be a score in the first 7:30 of the 1Q" is
NO +130. Pretty tough not to take UN 7.5 -105 in the 1Q.
RB Johnathon Stewart returns for the Panthers this week.

Laying big points with Dallas at home hasn't worked in the Tony Romo
era. Laying moderate points at home hasn't worked either. A normal
team would be pretty devastated by the type of loss they took in
Detroit but for the Cowboys it's a monthly occurrence. Expect Dez
to get fed often regardless of his conduct a week ago. Jordy Nelson
went off on the Vikings secondary to the tune of 7/123/2tds even
though his co-receivers were Tom, Dick and Harry. Dez should have a
big game. RB DeMarco Murray is back after missing two weeks.

Don't like betting vs teams off an embarrassing loss. Jets losing
by 40 at Cincy would qualify as embarrassing. Don't like betting
on teams like the Saints who are a dome team, going up North
and having played way beyond expectations defensively. At Chicago
they win by 8, at TBay they win by 2 and at New England they lose
by 3. Looks like a bad spot for the Saints. I like Graham UN today.
Tenn @ StL +3EV/40.5

Covered this game in detail in the Dead Guy Angle thread.
St Louis is on short rest after playing Seattle on MNF. Teams
who played Sea are winless the next week in 2013 and they
are certainly banged up. Points may be tough to come by for
both teams.
KC @ Buff +4.5/40
---------------------
Looks like Jeff Tuel gets the start at QB for the Bills. Line
has moved from -3 to as high as -5.5. 8-0 Chiefs have been
getting it done on defense and getting to the QB. Leading
rusher Jamal Charles is also KCs leading receiver. Bills at
home are 2-2 with the two losses being by 2 to NE and by
3 in OT to Cincy. All four Bills home games have been decided
by 3 pts or less.
SD @ Wash -1/51
-------------------
RGIII is good to go and the Redskins are in need of a win
or they can pretty much pack it in for 2013. Pierre Garcon
is fit to play but Fred "Sleepy" Davis (admitted to nodding
off during team meetings this week) has been a healthy scratch
the last two games and claims it has to do with incentive
clauses in his contract. He needs to get together with
poor Albert Haynesworth and form a victims group.
SD is 4-3 and off a bye but the schedule gets much tougher
going forward. They may have hit their high point and be
heading back to reality the second half of the season.
