NFL wimp league

Next thing you know 2 hand rough touch on all qbs. Seriously of all the kids growing up, who would want to play defense? You can't hit the qbs or wrs hard. If so you get fined and in the coming years probably suspended. The league is a joke.
had a nice correlated too
its about the fans philly mayor declared state of emergency, said don't leave house
about players too. dont need them on the roads either. and fans will be stupid enough to try and get to game making lots of problems on the road which is no help to emergency services. but yeah, screw the players and the fans and anyone's safety. it's all about what you need.
Years ago they played these games - no matter how bad the weather was. Obviously, the NFL looks at it a bit differently now. NBA and NHL tend to play these games too - as long as the road team has made it to town. Not sure if the leagues use any set criteria. I'm guessing they evaluate each situation as it occurs. Won't give an opinion on the Philly game, as I don't know how bad things are there.

This whole country has become a bunch of pussies. Snow emergencies? What the hell was a snow emergency 20 years ago?
This whole country has become a bunch of pussies. Snow emergencies? What the hell was a snow emergency 20 years ago?
exactly! f*** people. let them die on the road or get into bad accidents! i have an under 43 ticket here!

All it takes is for a couple of season ticket holders to get hurt trying to get to or leave, or at, the game to create the ingredients for a multi-million dollar class action lawsuit. The Shield does not like negative publicity, especially not during a labor dispute. Realistically, in this day and age, there is no way they could have played the game if the Mayor declared a state of emergency because, as noted above, people are too stupid to not stay at home. Remember how things turned out for that lady who spilled hot McDonald's coffee on herself? It's just the world we live in now.
The Shield is a now a multi-billion dollar litigation target. That's the problem with this country. It is not that hard to drive well in snow.
It is not that hard to drive well in snow.
but it's tens of thousands of cars driving in very bad weather all to and out of one location...and that's including the players. they already dont want people on the road and the Eagles want a full stadium, so why risk it?
The Shield is a now a multi-billion dollar litigation target. That's the problem with this country. It is not that hard to drive well in snow.
With all due respect (and I respect your handicapping very much) that may have been the dumbest comment you have ever made. I was in Minnesota trying to get to Vegas two weeks ago when they shut the airport down for the day and had to drive to a hotel to spend the night. It was nearly impossible to drive in the snow and I'm guessing they are getting about as much as we got (around 15-20 inches). Thank GOD most people were not on the road at that time (most cars were in the ditch) but trying to do that same thing with 60,000 people trying to get to a game would be nearly impossible. When we turned off the highway to get to our hotel we had to roll down the window to yell at people pushing a car to watch out because we were coming through and couldn't slow down because we would get stuck as well. When we got to the hotel we had to shovel out our parking spot or we wouldn't have gotten out the next morning. When you start getting 20 inches of snow and the wind starts blowing it is extremely difficult to drive in. It was so bad the plows were pulled off the highway until midnight.
