The Official Ohio State Rose Bowl big ten sucks thread

The Official Ohio State Rose Bowl big ten sucks thread After Saturday the Buckeyes will be headed to Pasadena and another huge payday for the little 10 and the university. They will also be ripe for another drubbing on a national stage. Old School and crew...enjoy the thread I have created in advance for ya : )
Oregon opens -10, closes -14 :)
Sorry to disagree but Ohio State is one of the best teams and programs in the country. They made me a lot of money last year covering against Texas with a true Freshman QB. SO they lose to the enormously talented USC team. That is no shame. Should have beat them this year too. Ohio State is one great program despite the negativity.

I have a diploma from said university and lived in the mecca of Buckeye football for 18years and I have to agree that yes they have a solid top 10 program. Top 5 would be better but it is what it is right now. They made me a motherload vs texas last year as well even though they shit themselves in the 3rd quarter of the game. USC has talent that is far below their past teams and I sat and watched an average buckeye team piss away a win at home september 12th 2009 from the 45 yeard line of C deck! More on this team should read below average coaching, conservative play calling and offensive game planning, lackluster and declining recruiting of top out of state talent. Count of the defense to keep us in games year after year, especially with the turnover prone vince young clone. I agree PAC TEN will open a fav in this game but something tells me the powers that be in the conferences want an OSU USC rematch Jan 1. DOnt be suprised to see the ducks fall twice and the trojans end up with roses in their grill again.
Everyone imagines the Big Ten of old. There is not a Big Ten team that could beat Boise St....period!!! I'm sure Boise has made them an offer too. I read yesterday where Boise send out lots of invitations to play them...in which Boise will travel to their stadium to play, and that team does not have to return that favor. There have been no takers! Pisses me off that a team like the Suckeyes can get a BCS bowl, and Boise St (which would kick the crap out of the Suckeyes) cannot. For anyone kidding themselves that the Big Ten resembles a tough conference....you are wrong!! I used Boise St as an example, because they are looked at as a sub-par team, in a terrible conference. I could really put the hammer down and compare the Little Ten to the SEC!!! Nice first post huh? I had to vent about all of this garbage. FYI, I live in Canton, Ohio in case anyone thinks I'm biased. This is a great site, and I enjoy checking out what people post. I saw this thread and had to reply. No disrespect to anyone.
u live in canton but obviously not from canton originally. bro i live out here in the desert and the WAC and MWC, although improving, are no match for the big ten. throw boise into the big ten week after week and they will lose to purdue...like the suckeyes did, injruies will mount and they will struggle because of their lack of depth. tell me if you threw the buckeyes in the WAC do you think they run the table every year? in case you want to see boise's competition San jose st plays nevada tonight on ESPN. check it out...or head down to a local high school palyoff game this weekend and watch better competition. btw...i am osu's biggest critic and actually petitioned to have tressel fired years ago when his players were getting drunk, arrested, etc.

They had USC but the QB did not make the plays that were right there. It was the same agaisnt TExas in the bowl game. If Ohio State had any kind of offense they would have won outright. It was a true frosh QB too. I am not sure there are all the problems you are making it out to be. They have lost a couple if winnable games (USc this year and Texas bowl game). Lets pick a couple of other teams in the country and compare them the last 5 years? Ohio State would fare well. Next year WITHOUT Tebo Florida will lose a few. You cannot be invincible every year. I consider Tressell a great coach.
Boise would be lucky to score 2 TDs on Ohio State. Bucks would be favored by at least 7 and it would not be close.
johnny you need to watch every game and I am sure living in Ohio it is not to hard to be forced to have the buckeyes in your face on the tube every week. sean is correct the defense is amzazing yet who gets the press...Pryor?? he had an average game saturday with the reins held tightly...as usual. He is an amazing athlete but not a great quarterback. Tressel is an average coach and recruiter. His weakness may be his loyalty to his assistants but that in itself is a job of the head coach so to me it weakens his body of work as a great coach. if i had to rank coaches over the last ten to fifteen years based on the body of work i would have to rank them as... Urban Meyer ( mind you I hate this guy with a passion but he has won at Bowling green, Utah and Florida) Pete Carroll (best recruiter) Nick Saban (total doochebag but the guy wins) Mack Brown (same as above)
