Oregon - Auburn Point Spread and Total...
I think you guys are all way off on this. I'll be v surprised if Oregon is ever the favorite.
Go run over to the Wynn. Dave Tuley posted on his website that they had a bettable line (subject to both playing in the BCS championship game) at Oregon -4.5.
I think Auburn +4.5 is a no brainer at this point. They have room for improvement perception wise vs South Carolina. Oregon has nowhere to go but down vs an opponent like Oregon State. If Auburn shows well, you won't be getting more than a field goal vs Oregon. If they lose, you get your wager refunded.
aub could also get another lucky razor thin win and oregon could post a 40 point win this weekend.... i think the realistic opener range at this point, ruling out any critical injuries, are at the lowest end ore -3 and high end ~ ore -7. i believe a fair closing line of ore -6.5 if the game were to be played before this weekend's contests. this will all be obsolete in the end. 'ol ball coach hands auburn an ass whipping this weekend.
yeah, i guess it will be 3 plus, listening to so many opinions i don't know anyone allowed to bet those wynn lines

It's almost like everyone forgets about history. I'm an SEC advocate and I hate that Auburn is our representative. But I still think they'll win this game. It's not lost on me that this Oregon team was just as dominate last year and got beat by Boise and almost beat by Ohio State. Every year we hear about this undefeated team in the national championship game that is fast enough to hang with the SEC. Every year they go home with a whupped ass. I think it's more of the same this year. I could be wrong. I won't bet my house on it. But how long has it been since an SEC team lost a championship game? Florida 15 years ago to Nebraska wasn't it? And I think the gap between the SEC and the rest of football is much wider now than it was then.
Ohio State beat Oregon if I recall. I'll happily take Auburn and points. Hell, I'd take Ark, LSU, or AL and points...
Did Oregon lose that game? All I remember is that Ohio State covered! I should've bet the money line! It's a shame how that happens. I think the spread was 9. I can remember the spread and remember that I won the bet. I have no idea who won the game.

Computer Bob, do you have any records of how underdogs and unders have performed in bowl games over the last few years? At one point I heard that you should always take dogs +7 or more and favorites -6 or less. I think I tried that last year and the -6 cost me a fortune. Straight dogs in the bowls would have been a big winner last year. At least I think I remember that. I also remember Oregon winning and being a 9 point favorite. So what I remember is no indication of what actually occurred.
