OT: I'm sorry, it's time to turn the "coin kettle" into a bill only accepter It's really comical when you see the halftime multi-millionaire NFL analyst crew on CBS dropping what looked like change in the Salvation Army coffers. Evidently nobody has got a clue that inflation has increased since the 1950-era of the "coin kettle" dispense system that was adopted many decades prior. Moreover, this organization is one of the lowest overhead operations as far as non-profits are concerned and are truly in need of our generosity. I am the first one guilty when I pluck a $100 bill in a slot machine, always thinking of what "I can gain". As much as it may "hurt", I'm dropping a C-note in the kettle for all the years of my self-center behavior. It's way overdue. I hope that any of you will follow suite in what I believe is a critical time in our juncture as Americans to turn the tide in the "Me generation" into the "We generation". God bless our already blessed country. We have a lot to be thankful for... LTK Go Broncos!
Moreover, this organization is one of the lowest overhead operations as far as non-profits are concerned and are truly in need of our generosity.
These 2 claims seem anti-correlated.
These 2 claims seem anti-correlated.
Perp, you're a smart cookie. "One of the 'lowest' overhead operations" is not proper grammar. My bad. As far as the organization itself is concerned, I believe it's one of the best out there as far as "non profits" are concerned. If you know of other organizations that warrant better acknowledgment, please let me and others know. History: https://www.salvationarmyusa.org/usn/www_usn_2.nsf God bless academia...
These 2 claims seem anti-correlated.
I'm a perfectionist, PC. There was nothing wrong with my grammar--but [with] the organization IS in need of our generosity. (Not "are".) And, how can the need of the "lowest" overhead organization be in the most dyer of contributions as far as donations are concerned? Simply, because they are the best donation-to-recipient delivery system that I know of--without the huge CEO salary/compensation packages along with other corporate "taxing" entities that take place in the private sector.

"and the [less fortunate] are truly in need of our generosity." :)
Thanks for the clarification. I believe you've truly made a difference today with your thread.
Thanks for the clarification. I believe you've truly made a difference today with your thread.
I pray every day for God to come into your life PC. Every day.
Thanks for the clarification. I believe you've truly made a difference today with your thread.
I hope that's a positive. :) You've always made a difference with your posts as well, PC. Unfortunately, my best is not reserved for a sports forum, but a local talk-show station, 620 KPOJ in Portland; fighting the untruths of the likes of Sarah Palin and Rush Limbaugh. (Don't even get me started right wingers! :) ) Good luck guys with Houston (+10.5), KC (+20.5) and Chicago (+17.5) for the 4-team sweep. New Orleans is the Crown Jewel, however.
