Phil Steele's CFB Preview 2011--waste of space

Phil Steele's CFB Preview 2011--waste of space I still can not figure out why he complains about not having enough space to print all the good info he has, but yet he starts out each team page with endless amounts of garbage starting in 2003, etc. Example p.88. Texas longhorns: "Vince Young became 1st player in history to have 2500 pass yards"...blah blah. Anybody else find this annoying that he does not have better current info? I mean what is that useful about this book??
I agree 100%.... if he needs more space , use more pages! he can make the thing as long as he wants he is in charge. but yes filled with lots of useless stuff
This technique is used on all his products. It puffs up the page count and gives the buyer the feeling of getting more for their money vs his competitors similar offerings.
Agree but, you need to use the magazine for other stuff than the repeated write-ups. The first 30 pages and the last 30 pages are invaluable. The right hand side of the team page is a great at a glance look. The guy puts more work into College Football in the off-season than all of us combined and then utilizes a staff of 20-30 guys on top of that. I'd pay $100 for page 311 alone. Read the fine print and adjust your handicapping style every year.

I agree that there's a lot of stuff in the mag that's useless to me, and I agree that what happened eight years ago is high on my list of stuff I can do without. On the other hand, there is plenty of stuff in there that I find very valuable. In fact, all in all, if I were to only buy one pre-season CFB magazine, it would be Steele. Bottom line, is the information that I want in there worth the cover price? For me, the answer is yes, so I buy it. The rest is stuff I can't control and don't worry about.
