Playing Washington State +1125 to beat SMU for 1/2 unit and Wash St. +23 for 1 unit

Playing Washington State +1125 to beat SMU for 1/2 unit and Wash St. +23 for 1 unit I know that everyone thinks I'm crazy and that Washington State is the worst team in Division one football. And it is entirely likely that I should never handicap another Pac-10 college football game again. However, I see a spot where a Washington State team, which actually beat SMU last year, and was competitive with Oklahoma St. in halfway through the 2nd quarter, only trailing 17-10, can come in and use the kicking prowess of Nico Grassu to allow this 23 point underdog to keep things very close late in the second half. Clearly this is not a coin flip situation. However, I am putting my money up on Washington St. and at the very worst feel I will have a chance to maneuver in this game. Bottom line, I'm playing both the spread and the ML in this spot. I can hear the criticism already coming... Other College Plays - Washington +3.5 -1.04 over Nebraska 2 units Houston -3 (even) over UCLA 2 units Clemson +7.5 -1.15 over Auburn Baylor +21.5 -1.08 over TCU Eastern Michigan +10 -1.17 over Central Michigan Utah +6 -1.05 over Fresno St Tennessee +17 -1.12 over Florida Navy -3.5 -1.13 over Lousiana Tech (I just got an awful number)Guess totally wrong on where the game was moving... Michigan St. -3 -1.12 over Notre Dame
Curious if you are playing back any of these as the lines have moved quite a bit on some?? Thanks.
Nice portfolio John on a lot of the same sides you are, but I am jealous of the Houston -3 +100 bet, I only got -110.
WISHING I would have gotten +17 with the Vols. Line completely moved the other way. I thought 16 or 17 would be available even today at the beginning of the week.

Just curious, I see you have a 2 unit play, if you like Wash St. ML, why is +23 a 1 unit play as opposed to a 2 unit play?
Its a Robbery. I have 1.5 units of exposure and that seems appropriate for now. I think it's a situation that if Washington St. can keep it close, then they can win. If they start to trail and SMU pours it on, then I want no piece of it. It's one of those you're not going to win every time out but a few times a year, situations where horrible teams have a 1 in 4 or 1 in 5 shot of taking down a game and I think wa St. falls into this category...I may look like a total fool at the end of this...in fact I already do now...
Towlie...you still are doing OK. I got this on the Houston play on Tuesday and it was a bit of a gamble regarding the QB situation. I owe this play to the Tuesday group as I did it while I was sitting there and going over the game...
Thanks for the insight. I've had respect since hearing you on a radio show a few years back, which is why I asked. I recognize that I still have a lot to learn, and this forum has been an invaluable teaching tool. I do appreciate you taking the time to answer my question. Good luck today!
