Prediction - Oregon St. QB Ryan Katz will be first player pickedin 2012 NFL Draft I'm hard pressed to think of a time when I have seen a quarterback, only a sophomore, so composed, exhibit such talent and range as I have seen from QB Katz from Oregon State. Oregon St Head Coach Mike Riley even commented that he was surprised at his development.
As a first year starter, Katz has now played on the road at Boise St, TCU, and Arizona. Oregon State is 3-0 ATS in these spots and Katz only has one interception. Much more impressed is how he repeatedly responded to the pressure to perform when Arizona put forth a couple of really big drives. Despite the Beavers losing James Rogers. Katz continued to distribute the ball with poise and precision. I can't say how impressed I am with his stealthy mobility as well.
Katz will play this year and next year but make no mistake. He will forego his senior year and be the first player taken...
