Preseason Week #3

Add: 264 Oakland (+3) (-115) Complete contrarian play here. Oakland played at New Orleans last year in Tom Cable's first game as coach after the Kiffin firing. They got beat 34-3. In the third game, the first stringers play more to give a better indication of how the team will play in the regular season. Clearly the Saints are the better team. They also have had two pretty impressive wins in the preseason, including a thorough butt-kicking of Houston on the road. However, this is such a smallish line. Russell has been improved so far. Garcia provides some depth and they will play the whole game. NO is going to focus on the run game here a lot more than the first two games. The Saints pass defense can still be had fairly easily. Houston and Cincy both threw for a bunch on them. Taking my shot here with the Raiders. GL and more to come.
Add: Oakland (-2') 2nd Half Probably my second donk play of the day on these bozos, but they can't do any worse. They have more penalty yardage than they do total offense. NO's pass defense gave up good ydg to Cincy and Houston. I think Garcia can at least get a couple scores dinking and dumping. GL
Rest of the card: 266 Cleveland (+1) Going against the move here. Cleveland played well last week off a shutout loss. Quinn and Anderson playing all the way tonight. Tennessee after a quick start in Week 1 has struggled on offense the last couple weeks. 267/268 Buffalo/Pittsburgh OVER 36 267/268 Buffalo/Pittsburgh OVER 19' 1st Half Buffalo has only scored 3 points on 9 drives with their #1's on offense and Pittsburgh has only allowed 3 points with their #1's on defense. Easy under right. ;) 269/270 Baltimore/Carolina OVER 35' Suggs and Gregg out for Balty on the DL. Carolina running the ball pretty well in the preseason. 271 NY Jets (+3') The world on the G-Men tonight. Rookie QB is now the official starter for the season. I think this takes some of the pressure off of him and he will be efficient. 271/272 NY Jets/NY Giants UNDER 37 (-120) 275/276 San Francisco/Dallas OVER 38 Hill is going to play. Line went down on the news he and Smith were both out. Even if Hill didn't play, Huard is a servicable QB and can drive teams down the field. I still don't like Dallas's pass defense. 277 San Diego (+3)(+105) Atlanta looks awful easy here. LT not playing, but Sproles can carry the load. 277/278 San Diego/Atlanta OVER 42 Ron Rivera is going to run a lot of his blitz packages tonight for the SuperChargers. This is going to lead to some turnovers or some big plays going the other way. GL
