Question about Teasers

Question about Teasers I have had good success with two team NFL teasers this year. I have enjoyed this Forum as it has introduced me to a more analytical approach to sports betting. I know my plays represent a small sample and I was wondering if: 1. Teasers are best used to move the line to key numbers? (For example, in general a spread of -7 teased to -1 would be a better play than -14 to -8) 2. Is it wise to avoid games with high totals? (The idea being that extra teaser points in these games are not as valuable as in a Jets/Ravens type game.) 3. Do you ever use them with totals? 4. Do you use them and, if so, what are your considerations in utilizing a teaser? Thanks
1) yes 2) yes, astute observation for a self-described beginner 3) rarely 4) all the time - acquire an accurate historical database and run different ranges to see whether the points you are gaining in the teaser are enough to provide you with a positive expectation vs. the implied break-even rate given by the teaser's payout odds.
