Question for Lee Sterling I have a question for you – are you honest? I was just wondering.
Back in September I was surfing sports betting websites, and I was checking out sports-betting-insights.com. On one page there is a list of recommended sports services. One of the services is Right Angle Sports, which I know is a good one. Some of the other services listed there I’ve read good things about also, so I thought it was a bona fide list of good sports services.
On the page where they list the recommended sports services, under the heading “Paramount Sports” and the sub-heading “What’s their track record”, it says : Paramount Sports has a very solid track record. Although it's not listed on the website you can always check his winning percentage for all sports by calling The Monitor at 1-888-334-7800.
Naturally I called “The Monitor” and asked for the records of Paramount Sports and the other services listed at sport-betting-insights.com. For Jefferson Sports they said 52.3% for the last year. They say that they always give you the record for the last 365 days from the day you are calling, all sports combined, and no units, all plays are one unit, minimum 100 plays for the year. They said that they monitor 1400 sports services, and have no website. I asked why they have no website, and the guy told me that most services don’t do that good, and they wouldn’t consent to be monitored if people could easily just go to some website and look at all the records. I also asked if he could tell me the top ten or whatever, and he said no all they can do is give the record for a specific handicapper the caller asks for, and will do only five cappers per call.
They said Wunderdog hit only 50.6% for the last year, and that Right Angle Sports hit 56.6%. For Dr. Bob they told me 55.2%, and Maddux Sports 53.8%. Most of these numbers sounded about right, and I thought I was talking to an honest, accurate sports service monitor.
Oh, I almost forgot. When I asked about your sports service, Paramount Sports, they said 74.1%. I think I said “really?”, or something to that effect. Anyway, I called “The Monitor” again a couple of days later, and I asked about the records of some other services. Then I asked about Paramount again. Only this time I asked if I could get the record for more than just one year. The guy told me that for the last five years, Paramount has hit between 70 and 76 percent every year. Again, I expressed doubt that any service could do that good consistently, and he assured me that not only Paramount but some other services were that good.
So I checked out the Paramount Sports website and called your 800 number, and I asked if what I had been told by “The Monitor” was true – did you really hit 70 to 76 percent the last five years? And of course I was told yes, you did. I was told that in college football, the 1 unit plays hit in the mid to upper 60% range, the 1.5 unit plays hit in the low to mid 70% range, and the 2 unit plays hit around 77-78%. For the NFL, I was told the percentages were 2 or 3 pct. lower than NCAA. So believing all this, I sent Paramount $1495 for the remainder of the football season (September 30 on).
Now I know a lot of you reading this are thinking what kind of a sap am I to have believed that any service is that good. All I can say is, between sports-betting-insights.com and “The Monitor”, I thought I was getting independent, honest information.
Here are the results so far from September 30 to November 15:
NCAA 1 UNIT 22-18 1.5 UNITS 12-12 2 UNITS 1-2. TOTAL UNITS 42-40 51.2%
NFL 1 UNIT 12-10 1.5 UNITS 3-2 2 UNITS 1-0 TOTAL UNITS 18.5-13 58.7%
So NCAA & NFL combined units it’s 60.5-53 53.3%.
Well, Lee Sterling, I’m not a rocket scientist, but I believe there is a pretty big gap between 70 to 76 percent on the one hand, and 53.3% on the other. I know, maybe you’re just in a slump. But I’ve been wondering about something. If Paramount really has hit between 70 and 76 percent for the last five years, how come it’s not posted at your website? How come the website doesn’t show the win and loss records for the last five years, broken down by football vs. basketball, college vs. pro? I would think such a phenomenal record would be something to be proud of, something to brag about, something that you would want all visitors to your website to be made aware of. But YOU DON’T post your records for the last 17 years, or the last 5 years, or even last year. Nor do you post your record for the current year.
So I was just wondering, when I called “The Monitor”, did they lie to me about your record? And when I called you and David at your 800 number, did you lie about your record? Or do you really hit between 70 and 76 percent of your picks, year after year, and you just happened to go into a slump around the time I started my subscription, and you’re just kind of shy about showing your unbelievable record at your website?
I was just wondering.
