Questionable coaching MNF

Questionable coaching MNF Correct me if I am wrong, but shouldn't the Bears have kicked the field goal once to the 30 with Robbie Gould and 40-50sec left in the gam, then attempt the onside kick? Of course we can't expect Lovie, probably the worst coach in the league (his use of TO in the 1st was horrible too), but isn't that the right move?
Was thinking the same thing. Reporter should be asking Lovie if he considered kicking a FG there to actually give his team a chance, or if he just wanted to lose by less.
Most of these coaches are just COMPLETE idiots when it comes to end of game strategy/clock management etc. Twice yesterday coaches go for 2 in the 2nd qtr once and 3rd qtr the other time. Of course late in the game both teams have 8 point leads instead of 9 since they missed the 2 pt conversion. Neither ended up mattering so it goes away.
They never even took a shot at the EZ. Tirico mentioned that. Going for the TD is okay as far as I'm concerned but did they really even do that? Even on the previous drive they went down to 5 minutes left before going in a hurry up. Just no sense of urgency. The management of the OL is atrocious. They might not even have the athletes on their OL but their protection schemes just don't match what these guys can do. It just seems like a playbook written by the coaches that doesn't fit the OL capabilities. To make it worse, it was as if they didn't do anything to scheme against the Detroit DL which is obviously one of the best. A ridiculous amount of false start calls that is easy to say is the player's fault. But I think the cause is players in one on one matchups who are going to get beat and probably beaten badly jumping because they need any help they can because they can't do what is asked of them. And they know it. It is as if the Bears have the worst OL in football and the protection schemes have no running back to help. If Martz has to have a system that has these schemes he's just in the wrong place. Didn't they let Kreutz an all pro center leave before the season? This has bad coaching and mismanagement written all over it at least IMO. The team have a QB, some D and playmakers. There is hope but it is also a situation that seems capable of a total meltdown.

It may have been a self preservation move from Cutler. He knew he didn't have time to go downfield without risking life or limb. He may have thought it would have taken a miracle and live for another day. Can't say I blame him with that offensive line.
Very good point.
