7 point game. TEN has 3rd and 6 on BUF 29. Chris Johnson loses 4 yards and there is a holding penalty on TEN. Dick Jauraon has two choices:
A) Accept penalty, make it 3rd and apprx. 16 for TEN at BUF 39, which takes TEN out of FG range, and forces TEN to convert 3rd and 16 and/or pick up 3-4 yards to get back into Bironas' range (remembering that you just stopped Johnson for a 4 yard loss on the previous play). If your team is succesful, you keep this a 1 score game; or,
B) Decline penalty, and hope and pray that Bironas (a quality NFL FG kicker) misses a 50 yard FG at home in perfect weather, which would make it a 2 score game with about 4 minutes left.
Dick goes with Option B. Bironas nails the FG with 8 yards to spare, BUF throws a pick-6 three plays later, Dick puts the cap on the pen - Game Over.
